Second Public Open Day: The Details
Roll up! Doors open at 10:00 am on Sunday June 14th. Doors close 4:00 pm.
First historical tour: 10:30 -12:00. Questions and photography encouraged. (Not too much on the sheep though…)
Second historical tour: 2:00-3:30. Questions and photography encouraged. Ditto on sheep…
If you want to participate in one of the site tours, 1- 1.5 hours long, you will need to sign up with firstname.lastname@example.org, 07710418219 in advance, no one under 15. First come first served. £1.00 per tour on the door. If places are still available you can sign up at the gate on the day. 30 only per tour, as it’s just not safe otherwise… sadly!
(A separate specialist photographic tour happens 12:00 – 2:00 so we can’t overlap: it is already sold out. In future this kind of specialist tour can be organised for you though, if you have a large enough group: we go through our photographic curator Si Cliff.)
You can talk to all of all artists as you go round, and enjoy some theatrics down in our Joiners Bar where there will also be a bar open all day with soft and hard drinks, and a BBQ from 12 noon onwards.
On tap: Open Studios include art glass, bands rehearsing, Leeds Model Railway Society showing the best miniature engines ever, and taking recruits), fine artists, an outrageous inventor, photographers (including our first wonderful interactive online exploration), filmmakers, historians and actors. Come, talk, and leave your own stories!
It’s all pretty informal except for the rules:
- No one under 11 unless accompanied at all times by a related adult
- Tours are only for the 15 and over; again, accompanied by a related adult.
- Sturdy shoes: no sandals or stilettos
- No pets, no pythons, no substances…
Free parking on the day from 10 am on.
Well, that should do it!
Hope to see you on the 14th.
